Sri Lanka Eco-Hotel Review & Scorecard

This report uses a point rating scale (-4 thru +4) to rank Eco-Hotels within close proximity to Rainforest Habitat in Sri Lanka. It analyzes the effects on the surrounding Habitat and Bio-Diversity to educate the Eco-Traveler as well as encourage the Eco-Hotel to take measures towards conservation. The report focuses on habitat and bio-diversity loss as well as pollution due to the sensitive environment of the area and therefore does not rank these hotels on other environment related criteria such as energy saving. Therefore, certain hotels with certifications on building and energy savings may not always make it to the top related to habitat and bio-diversity conservation. This report is periodically updated to reflect changes Hotels make to improve on these criteria. The analysis is done independently without any bias and the Hotels can contact us to further provide credible evidence of their good faith effort to protect the Habitat and Bio-Diversity.
